About Meg Cabot |
Born in the year 1967, Meg Cabot is a popular American author of romantic and paranormal fiction for teens and adults. She used pseudonyms to publish her earlier works, but later started writing under her real name.
She is best known for her series The Princess Diaries, but has written several other series like The Mediator series, 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU series, All-American Girl series, Avalon High series, the Airhead trilogy, and the Abandon trilogy. Some of her novels are Safe House, When Lightning Strikes, Ninth Key, Twilight, Being Nikki, and Airhead.
Cabot has received many awards, including the New York Public Library Books for the Teen Age award, the American Library Association Quick Pick for Reluctant Readers award, the Tennessee Volunteer State TASL Book Award, the Book Sense Pick award, the Evergreen Young Adult Book Award, and the IRA/CBC Young Adult Choice award.
Cabot graduated from Indiana University and moved to New York City to become an illustrator. She got married to a financial writer and poet named Benjamin D. Egnatz on April 1, 1993.
